From the founding of Macclefield Amateur Swimming Club (MASC) in 1893, the Club, committee and team of volunteers have been dedicated to helping the children and adults of Macclesfield and surrounding areas learn to swim at an affordable price. The not-for profit Club continues to cater for complete beginners and improvers, alike.
Operating at Macclesfield leisure centre, the focus of the club is to encourage swimmers to learn at their own pace, progressing in confidence and ability. Although the club is not competitive there are badge nights where members have the opportunity to swim a measured distance using a recognised swimming stroke and correct technique and earn a badge marking the achievement.

We have sessions for all ages on Tuesday evening and everyone is welcome. Our instructors are on hand to offer guidance advice.
Joining could not be easier. Come down to the pool at Macclesfield Leisure Centre and talk to our people who are situated outside the family changing room who will be more than happy to help you.

Macclesfield amateurs is a non competitive Club which is dedicated to helping children learn to swim and improve techniques.
Everyone, irrespective of ability is welcome. We run parent and child sessions for young children and non-swimmers.

MASC Youngsters
Tuesday Night
7.00pm – 7.30pm
& 7.30pm to 8.00pm
Start your child’s swimming journey with us!! The Club runs during Cheshire East school term times and our half-hour sessions are available to children from aged 3 upwards.
Your child’s preferred session time remains the same as they progress with ability from the small pool, to the main pool giving consistency to your week.
Running late and cannot make the 7pm session? The Club is flexible and offers you the opportunity to attend either session on any given week.
Current cost is £55 per 12-13 week term, and we offer a taster session for just £5 if you want to be sure the club is the right place for your child’s swimming journey.
MASC Adult Swimming
Tuesday Night From 8:00pm – 8:30pm
We now offer adult swimming for 30 minutes, commencing at 8.00pm.
Adult swimming is for both accomplished and non-swimmers. Tuition is available whatever your ability, or just come along to swim and enjoy.
