There is No Club on 7th March 2017 due to schools gala

Sorry for late change in date, we have only just been informed

Who are we?

From the founding of Macclesfield Amateur Swimming Club in 1893, we have been dedicated to teaching people to swim.

Our original founders established the club for beginners and improvers and although we do have the Macclesfield Borough championships in our galas we are not a competative club.

We have sessions for young and old throughout Tuesday nights and all are welcome. We have sessions for all ages and teachers are always on hand to guide and advise.

How do I join?

Joining could not be easier. Come down to the pool at Macclesfield Leisure Centre and talk to our people who are situated outside the family changing room who will be more than happy to help you.

If you are not sure we run a 'taster' scheme. This allows you or your children to come down and try out a night at our club for 5.00 per swimmer.

If however, you are still not sure if the club meets your needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Can I help?

The club is run by volunteers who cover all the areas of teaching, helpers and administrative staff.

We are always looking for more assistance, so if you are interested in devoting some or all of your Tuesday nights to the advancement of swimming we would be delighted to talk to you.

The club runs training schemes for teachers and helpers, including ASA qualifications, and so no previous experience is necessary.
