The Alderman Kirk Award
At the gala in November it was my honour to award the above to a member of our Committee. The following is part of my welcoming address:Welcome to our gala and thank you for your support. The children work hard throughout the year towards these events and I hope you agree they have achieved a great deal.
These achievements are also due to the immence dedication of our team and the Club has an award which was originally presented to Alderman Kirk for his dedication to swimming and our Club for 25 years. Over the years this has been presented to members of the Club who have also shown this commitment.
Tonight it gives me great pleasure to present this award to a person who has been a dedicated volunteer, helper, teacher, committee member, treasurer for 32 years. She has, and is, an inspirational to us all and is the backbone to our Club. Please join me in congratulating Janice Whitelaw on her dedication to the Macclesfield Amateurs.
